The Urban Hope Project
Description: Husika-Afrika Foundation (formerly The Urban Hope Project) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization working with communities in Kenya and Africa; and basically aims to involve community members in active leadership, governance and development agendas.
We do this through civic education, policy and advocacy, alcohol drugs and substance abuse prevention, research, health care, entrepreneurship, among others; using smart approaches.
Our mission in a nutshell: is to Inspire Transformation among the most needy and vulnerable communities in Africa.

Talent Nurturing and Management
We work with young people in the community; identifying their unique talents and gifts and offering guidance, further training and opportunity to show case them through events and earn from them.
Apprenticeship and Exchange Programme
We offer training opportunities for young people who have just come out high school and want to get involved with the life of their community or a different one through community service, mobilization and development.
Executive Director and Team Leader
On 25th April 2019, Husika-Afrika Foundation through its founder and executive director, Rev. Moses Oduor, attended the CSO Dissemination on the 2019 Ministerial Segment on World Drug Problem (Africa Beyond 2019) at the UNODC Nairobi.
He also represented Husika-Afrika at the Adoption of the African Civil Society Organization Common Position Statement on the Regional Drug Problem to the forthcoming African Union Health Ministers Segment in Egypt 2019; on the same day and date.
