The Ontario Drug Policy Research Network, the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario/the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, Public Health Ontario and the CDPE have published a report analyzing trends in opioid-related deaths and comparing circumstances of death between two groups: a #COVID19 pandemic cohort and a pre-pandemic cohort.

Findings suggests that #COVID19 restrictions may have led to an increase in opioid #overdose deaths in Ontario. Click here for the full report: https://cdpe.org/publication/report-on-opioid-related-deaths-during-covid19-pandemic/

Research found that #diversity is sorely lacking, as historically over-criminalized #Black and #Indigenous people, as well as #women, are underrepresented.
